Synopsis

How does one know when one comes face to face with Death? It doesn’t look the way we think it ought to. It may appear as a dream or a nightmare. Whatever the form; if your survive it, your life will be irrevocably changed. I think my first brush with Death was on an operating table when I was eight. The second time was during a coma when I was in my teens. Death and I are not strangers, but it’s not like we are on a first name basis. I have watched it work as a bystander as well. I have been employed by hospitals and prisons. Morgues and prison cells both frighten and fascinate me. I force myself to face my deepest fears, and Death is right there leading the parade.
