Synopsis

In the third book of The Pink Trilogy, Cassie mourns for Sam, struggling to come to terms with his death. Her good friend Jamie is at her side, patient and supportive, yet he wants to become more than just a shoulder to cry on. As time passes, Cassie begins to see Jamie in a new light, knowing she has to somehow move past her own sorrow in order to heal her shattered heart. Yet unbeknownst to Cassie, Sam is still alive. He wakes up in a strange place where an equally strange voice tells him he must learn to use the powers dormant inside of him in order to defeat the menacing black cloud. Sam eventually finds his way back to Cassie who is overcome with joy at the sight of her lost love. Yet despite Sam’s miraculous return, Cassie still distrusts the alien being that has brought him back to life, suspecting that the mysterious entity is not what it seems. Sam also asks Cassie to make a life-changing decision, one that ends up tearing her apart—the only way for her to be with Sam is to break the hearts of her family and friends. After searching her soul, Cassie decides which path to take, only to discover a devastating truth: not only will her choice affect the lives of those she loves the most, it will also determine the fate of the world.

À propos de l'auteur

Stephanie Powell lives in Austin, Texas with her engineer/musician husband (a modern-day renaissance man), her two darling children (yes, grown kids can still be darling), and her Master's in Film (a degree for watching movies . . . what's not to like!). Her day gig is as a sign language interpreter; in her free time, she likes to walk the neighborhood, have lunch with friends, and, of course, read. The Pink Trilogy is her first foray into the world of young adult. She wrote the non-fiction book Hit Me With Music: How to Start, Manage, Record, and Perform With Your Own Rock Band which starts out with a forward by (attention: name-drop alert) Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.
