Synopsis

Corrina Elgin, at twenty-two, was a happy spring bride in May, 1963. Her happiness lasted for ten days... then she made a shocking discovery that triggered a violent response by her husband. Fearing for her life, she escaped on board MKT’s top streamliner, the Texas Special heading for the “Big D.” Months before Lee Harvey Oswald would kill President John Kennedy and Jack Ruby would kill Oswald, Corrina landed a job in a Dallas nightspot, the “Carousel Club” owned by Jack Ruby. That job put her at an intersection with monumental historic events and threatened her very life.

À propos de l'auteur

Jerry L. Minshall was born and raised on a farm in Kirksville, Missouri. The Santa Fe railway ran close by, which accounts for those historic American streamliners roaring through his novels.  As a graduate of Truman State University, he became a schoolteacher, songwriter, and professional singer, which eventually led to a career in broadcasting.  Currently, he is a news anchor at WWTN-FM Radio, in Nashville, Tennessee.  His earlier novel, Santa Fe Cocktail, set the themes of romance, trains, history, and a ripping good tale.  All those continue in Fleeing Cat Spring.  He lives with his beautiful wife Jan in Nashville.  They have three children, six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
