Christel Jonge Vos was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. She experienced World War Two, the Berlin Air Lift and the Berlin Wall first-hand. Christel Jonge Vos holds a Master of Music Degree from Lewis and Clark College, Portland Oregon in 1981 and has played in numerous concerts in the Portland Oregon area. She founded The German Language Center in 1981, offering individually designed German language instruction and translations to companies, conducting business in Germany. She also taught graduate students of German in total immersion at Portland State University, at Lewis and Clark College and at the University of Albuquerque. She moved from Lake Oswego to Keizer and now is semi-retired. She currently enjoys going to the gym, teaching German and writing; this is her fourth book.
