Synopsis

Fourteen-year-old Jake had ignored the letters stamped "Highly Confidential" for too long, so they sent him a message he couldn't miss.

With his parents at work and his friends at camp, Jake's summer is stretching into a letdown of legendary proportions. Those two kids on his doorstep, pretending to be teenage secret agents, aren't helping. Nor are the men in dark suits and dark glasses. But the swarms of robot killer bees? They're the worst!

That's when Jake stopped pretending to be a spy. Because the others weren't pretending at all.

"A Bond adventure for kids... Undeniably entertaining." - Kirkus

Around the world, honeybees are mysteriously disappearing. Scientists are baffled, but three teenage detectives think they know why. Don't miss this first heart-pounding installment in the Stormglass adventure series!

"A brilliant twist on the classic theme of villainous world domination with a winsome, contemporary mix of gadgetry and wits... 5 stars" - ForeWord Clarion Reviews

"Action-packed and fast-paced... barrels along with a cheerful intensity and no shortage of middle-grade Bond-style adventure." - Publishers Weekly

"A mad scientist, evil henchmen, an over-the-top plan to take over the world, and a globe-trotting storyline... As Jake upends his suburban life to chase villains around the globe, you're not going to pause to ponder how he's feeling about all this: You're just going to chase after him breathlessly... 4 stars." - Common Sense Media
