Synopsis

Are you looking for a way to understand people you disagree with?

The premise of “Critical Perspective” is that we each have unique footsteps individually taken and as such our path ensures that each of us are influenced differently and as such have contributions to make to society. This book is a tool to help you discover yourself and understand others.

I believe more people will benefit from my suggested approach to why people misunderstand others. The concept presented in this book helps explain why misunderstandings take place. My workshop attendees appreciate having a system to improve their understanding of another person (e.g., management leaders) while avoiding thinking ill of co-workers at any level when disagreements occur.

I ask you to take a slow and measured approach as you are introduced to this tool of communication and cultural diversity appreciation, I call “Critical Perspective.” This book introducing “Critical Perspective” is more about you learning about yourself than solving the other person’s issues. This system helps the reader to better understand themselves and master their own opinions. The reader becomes more confident and congruent.

In fact, the other folks we encounter are often more concerned about themselves than you are anyway!

“Critical Perspective” is a system based on the vowels as a pneumonic guide. The system involves questions using three vowels: A.E.O. (i.e., assumptions, expectations, and observations). The “Critical Perspective” system discussed and expanded upon here is the foundation of this approach.
