Matthew Ogles is the creator of the nationally acclaimed educational organization Unconventional Classroom(www.UnconventionalClassroom.com). Unconventional Classroom was founded to help teachers improve their craft through books and in-service opportunities. The mission of Unconventional Classroom is to provide an overall experience that is full of ideas that teachers will be able to implement in their own classes, while enjoying teacher material that is like no other. The ultimate outcome is to provide teachers with ideas that will help improve student achievement. Matthew Ogles was born in Tennessee and grew up in a very small town on a farm. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and with a Masters of Education Degree in Administration and Supervision. He has been an educator for several years in the state of Tennessee, where he teaches both U.S. History and World History while also serving as the Social Studies Department Head. His students have consistently had some of the highest growth margins on state mandated tests while keeping his class exciting and fun. ------------- Brent Bogan is the founder of the popular professional development company, Unconventional Teaching (www.UnconventionalTeaching.com). Unconventional Teaching workshops specialize in topics such as classroom management, assessment strategies, the flipped classroom/education technology, and creating entertaining and memorable lessons for students. Bogan is native to the small farming community of Sabina, Ohio. Brent currently resides with his wife and son in Tennessee. Bogan attended Middle Tennessee State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geosciences, a Master of Education Degree in Administration & Supervision, and an Education Specialist Degree with an emphasis in Curriculum & Instruction. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, spending time with his family, and traveling. He has been a classroom educator since 2006, currently serves as the department chair of social studies at the high school where he teaches, and is continuously testing and applying innovative lessons to help his students learn and improve their academic achievement.
