In her quest, she makes the shocking and bizarre discovery that her father, a high-ranking population scientist and friend to Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, authored the one-child policy. Abandoned and given up for dead by the father who orchestrated this failed, radical social engineering experiment, Sya was driven to find her truth. This is her story.
