This from the rear cover: "Dave Foreman tells the story of the increasingly harsh and bitter fight between two warring conservation movements, vying over the fate of the last wild things in North America during the Twentieth Century. He lays out our hard choice between a Twenty-[first Century world wholly dominated by Man or one where we not only save the last wild things, but also build upon growing rewilding efforts and networks." Soft cover. Etat : Very Good. 1st Edition. Softcover. Pictorial covers. First edition. 296 pages. Nice and clean throughout. Very good condition. Inscribed by the author, with birthday sentiment, on the half title page. Foreman founded Earth First! and was on the forefront of environmental activism anywhere and everywhere that he could find a way to be involved. Here he writes 'keep up your great work' to Lovejoy. This volume comes from the collection of Dr. Thomas Lovejoy, who was a passionate book collector as well as a renowned biologist. His collection recently came to auction near Washington DC, as we were fortunate to purchase a portion of it, which we're proud to offer here. Please email with questions or to request photos. If you see a photo beside this listing, please be aware that it's an ABE Stock Photo (whatever that is) and not a photo of this book (although they sometimes get right). Oversized and overweight books will require extra shipping for safe delivery. Signed by Author(s). N° de réf. du vendeur Lovejoy's Best-121

Softcover. Etat : Fine. First edition. An organizational association copy, inscribed on the half-title page, "For NMWA, Dave Foreman." NWMA is the New Mexico Water Authority, based in Albuquerque, making this an interesting association to a diverter (or more charitably, manager) of the rivers that Foreman fought to protect his whole career, most famously as the co-founder of Earth First! Foreman also died in Albuquerque. This is his last book. In it he narrates and reflects on the long battle between "resourcism and Nature conservation." Foreman went on found the Wildlands Project and Rewilding Institute. Raven's Eye Press is his own venture, it seems, an interesting activist approach to publishing. A fine soft cover in glossy wraps, one modest crease to back lower corner; still fine, unread. N° de réf. du vendeur 994
