Synopsis

This is a fun, rollicking, engaging story about two boys and a bear whose desire to build a baseball team grounded on the Dozen Disciplines takes them on a worldwide adventure. During their travels, they meet kids with great baseball skills who are weak in one of the Disciplines, like being respectful or NOT being humble. Perfect! For Daretu and Exon's parents had taught them that leaders have a responsibility to help others develop discipline, "Because a disciplined kid is a happy kid." Can Daretu and Exon build their team in time to compete in the upcoming baseball tournament? Will they beat the local team of bullies and win the trophy? Or will they discover that being responsible for building your own character has the potential to change the lives of everyone around you?

The adventures of The Big Brain Bunch and their willingness and ability to characterize the Dozen Disciplines have an almost magical effect on the reader. Kids will be captivated by the robust characters, full-bodied storyline and the humor.
