Synopsis

Walking With Windows of Light is a testimony to the multi faceted relationship between a spiritual Master and his devotee. H. H. Swami Chinmayananda was a world-renowned authority on Vedanta. Swami lectured across the globe for over 40 years. He was a master orator and taught the ancient scriptures to the world in English. He also led the Hindu spiritual renaissance and founded the Chinmaya Mission, a worldwide non-profit organization. Perhaps the most striking feature of his selfless work was how he touched the heart of countless people from diverse backgrounds and inspired them to live a life based on spiritual values. A contemporary and good friend of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Swamiji established a Vedanta academy in India to teach and spread Vedanta philosophy in a systematic way. In Walking with Windows of Light, Neeru Mehta tracks her early years of developing a guru-shishya relationship with Swamiji. This book, transcribed from her diary, is an account of her own spiritual journey. Through her recollections, she shares some of the most important aspects of the spiritual path that will resonate with a seeker looking for the Truth.  The simplicity of her writing, her dedication to this great master and the unique manner in which he brings about the transformation of her personality, will serve as a guide to the reader on his or her spiritual path.
