The illustration contests, in cooperation w/Clackamas High School, was made available to art students. 4 winners were announced, cash prizes were awarded by Marilyn & her husband, Dale, and the first-place winners earned the opportunity to illustrate the books. Marilyn created further exposure for the winning illustrators by including them in some of her book-signings. She explains that an essential role for adults today is aiding children of all ages with the recognition that they are here to do something of their own choosing. Marilyn enjoys an active schedule of writing, speaking, book signings & teaching.
