Synopsis

IAMHERE, a collection of 56 poems, invites readers to experience the raw beauty of vulnerability. Through honest explorations of heartbreak, betrayal, and self-healing, this collection speaks to the universal journey of navigating the complexity of relationships and discovering a path toward renewed hope. Positioned to engage an audience of women, who are on a journey of self-healing and personal growth through life’s transitions. They were once daughters, friends, girlfriends, wives, mothers and now find themselves with an interest in expanding past the confines of former defining limits. IAMHERE can help people heal. Difficult emotions are plainly cut into simple syllables on a palpable page, read aloud can help you regulate your nervous system. For example, the difficulty of betrayal is not only in the experience of it but the holding of the space for it. IAMHERE provides that very space and holds you through your difficult experience. Thus, letting the emotion to arise and pass through without getting bottled and stuck inside.

À propos de l'auteur

Inspired by my own challenges, I speak to desires that are hard to voice publicly and capture loss that has crippled me. IAMHERE is written from the voice of a young soul yearning to be loved and the devastated soul who has lost it all. I explored the perspective as a new mother whose capacity is growing exponentially beyond what I thought was humanly possible and as my children grew up from the perspective of an old mother who must let it all go. Those who are guarded are intrigued by my vulnerability, intimacy, sometimes vulgarity and those who are open find comfort. My former publications include my first e-book poetry in the buff from 2014, a finalist in Poetry Nations 2024 competition and articles in Latin American business journals in 2003.
