Synopsis
When fairy-tale writer Lily Puchala stumbles across a homeless man, she discovers that she can't escape her past. With the help of an eccentric therapist, Sybil Sinclair, she finds the courage to confront her role in the death of an old woman and the disappearance of her best friend over forty years ago. But when she decides to track down the elusive street person who may know the reason her friend vanished without a trace, she realises that someone else is hunting for him. In the terrifying climax where the line between myth and reality is blurred, Lily's perception of good and evil is shattered. If she wants to learn the truth and survive, she is going to have to deliver the best story of her life.

Catherine Vance lives in Toronto, Ontario where she works as a nurse. She has also been involved in television and assisted in producing and directing a number of documentary films. "Fleas and Fairies" is her first published novel.
