Synopsis



The assignment in Greece might have been the answer to Trevor and Sandra’s problems except for one thing. Someone was trying to frame them for murder... with a watermelon.

Meanwhile, Ingleby has problems of his own. During his seventy-odd years, his cupboard has accumulated plenty of skeletons, one of which is about to be rattled by a couple of ex-cons and a retired police inspector from his murky past.

Heads You Lose is the sequel to Lifting the Lid and the second book in the ‘Lifting the Lid’ series, featuring Sandra Gray, Trevor Hawkins and his incorrigible dog, Milly.

À propos de l'auteur

Some readers have asked me if my comedy thrillers 'Lifting the Lid' and 'Heads You Lose' are partly autobiographical. Am I anything like the main character, Trevor Hawkins? The answer, quite simply, is: 'No, I'm not.' Okay, so I do own an elderly VW Transporter camper van (currently off the road), I do have a dog (five rescue dogs actually), I do have a low pain threshold, and I can occasionally be accused of 'anally retentive faffing'. But there the similarity ends.

Unlike Trevor, I live in Greece with my wife, Penny, two cats and the aforementioned rescue dogs. As far as I'm aware, Trevor has never written anything longer than a shopping list in his life, whereas I'm working on a new novel and two screenplays.
