Sally Aviss comes from East Kent, but her love of sailing has taken her to many coastal areas of the British Isles. This is her fourth book following the highly acclaimed 'Cairnmor' trilogy, also published by Ozaru Books. In addition to her writing, she is a professional classical musician and instrumental teacher.

Ben Jones won a scholarship to Oxford University to study Japanese, and after some years in Japan, returned to run a successful translation, typesetting and publishing business from his home in Kent, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and former coordinator of the ITI's Japanese Network.
