Synopsis

In the midst of one of the bloodiest battles of the Napoleonic Wars, a rough band of soldiers discovers a baby on the battlefield. Honour-bound (and more than a tad drunk), the Twenty-First French Infantry adopt the little girl – and their lives will never be the same again.

So begin the adventures of Fred, ‘Daughter of the Regiment’. It’s a story crammed full of tall tales and secret missions, huge battles and deadly duels, intrigue, magic, and muskets. Not to mention bar brawls, bandits and brandy, carriage chases, curses, cavalry, and cannons. There’s a surprising amount about jelly moulds too.

Follow the life and exploits of Fred and her ten oddball fathers as they fight their way across war-torn Europe and tackle the trickier moments of child-rearing.

The first volume in a swashbuckling comedy adventure series.
