From the mid-14th to the mid-16th centuries Coventry was the 'boom town' of England and the seat of royal power. By the earl 20th century it was an engineering and manufacturing powerhouse. This map brings it to life.

Dr Mark Webb has published both peer-reviewed and popular articles on medieval and post-medieval history in a wide range of journals. He is a trustee of the Historic Coventry Trust and co-founder of the Medieval Coventry charity. Mark also works as Head of Development and Fundraising for The Prince's Foundation.
