Synopsis

Colin May is a well-seasoned traveller. Approaching his 80th year he decided to look back over a journey that has taken him from a boarding school in Devon, following his Naval father around England, Scotland and Ireland, before becoming a bearded adventurer – sailing across the Atlantic, hitch-hiking from Mexico to Canada (when it was illegal in much of America), and fighting pirates in Borneo. Colin became a Naval father himself, raising a family in Southeast Asia and Southwest England. His story is anything but ordinary. Proceeds from the sale of this book go to St Luke's Hospice, Plymouth and other charities.
