Synopsis

This is a unique book: the only children's book about Andrew Carnegie's incredible life! Beautifully illustrated, with fact panels at the end, readers learn how Carnegie emigrated from Scotland to the US with his poor family. Through hard work, an agile mind and access to books, the tough industrialist rose to become one of the richest men in the world. Using his money for good, he built over 2500 libraries , funding 650 in the UK and Ireland alone. His legacy lives on, as his foundation is still giving away his money today!
