Synopsis

‘Nuffink in Particular’ offers a unique blend of perceptions on human behaviour, based on several decades of my own observations and presented sometimes within poems, sometimes as sketches and sometimes as anecdotes – real or imagined. The substance is in no strict order although I have tried to link together themes and topics. The first two poems reflect my earlier years and 'Old Holiday Photos' records the first poem written. Ultimately the reader will discover humorous contributions intertwined with occasional serious reflections and I hope will gain some pleasure and some provocation of thought from the contents.

I first became interested in poetry some years ago while a student at Central School of Speech and Drama and have carried on that interest with attendance at the U3A poetry class in Deal, Kent. I've penned a few contributions of my own in recent years and together with sketches and anecdotes, they make up the contents of this book.
