Synopsis

Trouble Isla — Book #2, Isla Mujeres Mysteries

New Year’s Eve on Isla Mujeres is supposed to be magical—fireworks, salsa dancing, too much tequila, and the first sunrise of the year over the Caribbean. After surviving their chaotic hunt for pirate treasure, Yasmin Medina and Jessica Sanderson are ready to celebrate. Better yet, they’ve just learned that Kirk Patterson—the killer who threatened Yasmin—is dead. Or so they think.

When Yasmin’s new boyfriend, Carlos Mendoza, disappears after the festivities, a disturbing photograph arrives with a chilling message: I have something you want. You have something I want. Carlos has been kidnapped, and his captor wants the missing pirate treasure. But Carlos wasn’t always the respectable restaurant owner Yasmin knows. As a teenager, he and his friends Anthony, Diego, and Pedro were notorious island troublemakers—and those old friendships, along with a few skills learned during their misspent youth, may prove invaluable now.

With Carlos running out of time, Yasmin and Jessica are drawn into another dangerous adventure filled with revenge, secrets, tequila, and trouble. And once again, lovable rescue mutt Sparky may be the best detective on Isla Mujeres.
