Synopsis

Their life together is beautiful and Edenic at first, but becomes increasingly complicated as Selene pushes the boundaries of their relationship. Torn between his desire to support her freedom and his fear of losing her, Ryan begins his slow transformation. Several months after Selene leaves the island, Ryan gets together with Maya and attempts to create a monogamous relationship guided and supported by spiritual practice. However, in the midst of this, Selene re-enters Ryan’s life in a surprising way. As two older people, the fire and confusion of youth long behind them, Selene and Ryan reconnect in a chance meeting. The reader finds out what has become of them and learns where their lives and beliefs have taken them.
