Allan is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (FAusIMM). He is also director of Greenfields Research, a consultancy specialising in the analysis of mining and exploration across the base, precious and specialty metals sectors. John is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London (FGS), a Chartered Scientist (CSci) and a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (MIMMM), Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM) and the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG).
