Mark Leech is a reluctant author, a beekeeper, forester, husband, father and opa, often more interested in researching new information and taking relevant images, than writing. Born in Tasmania and widely travelled with his German wife Susanne, Mark has a great appreciation of Tasmania his island home. Author of the highly successful; Bee Friendly A planting guide for European honeybees and Australian native pollinators, A Field Guide to Native Flora Used by Honeybees in Tasmania Tasmanian Floral Resources for Honeybees Mark is passionate about bee forage and nutrition and encouraging children's interest in beekeeping. Mark has been awarded the 2001 Tasmanian World Forestry Day Award and the 2016 Richard Stanton Memorial Award for Excellence in Sustainable Forest Management.
