Synopsis
This book is about a difficult valley experience the author went through in her spiritual life--a time filled with many dark shadows and little sunshine. It includes snippets of journal entries written through many tears; poems written during this period filled with shadows; and scripture verses which brought help and comfort. It contains part of the story of what she went through and how she eventually came out of the valley and up to the mountaintop.The author's prayer is that by sharing her heart in "Shadows in My Valley" others who are going through a shadowy valley experience may find help and understanding, and to help prepare those who have never been there yet so they may be able to exit the valley more quickly than she did. She shares some of her weaknesses, her overwhelming emotions during that time and the reason--or at least the part she came finally to understand--for this time of trial.
