Synopsis

A holiday home in Cromer seems to provide both safety and romance, as Jason, the next-door-neighbour suggests they chat over the garden fence. They form a mini book-club, reading A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, and the woman begins to love the book, with the tale of two men both loving the same woman while society threatens to erupt into chaotic revolution.

Real life begins to mirror the scenes in the book, until the guillotine falls for the last time.

Out by Ten is an exciting novel, set firmly in contemporary England whilst also being entwined with a love story from an ancient era.
