Do you feel something is profoundly wrong with your life but have no idea where to begin in solving it?
Or maybe you feel that you are on the right path but none of your family understand what you are doing or why?
Maybe you are feeling you are the black sheep!
These are signs to befriend your Lunatic Gene.
Your Lunatic Gene is the calling within yourself to be free from the trappings of other people's agendas and opinions.
It is the wake-up call that gets louder with age and life experience.
It can manifest as suicidal thoughts and/or a desire to break free from others’ expectations of you.
It is the drive to want a better, more aligned, happier life doing what you love.
But for some reason you feel you don't deserve it, feel trapped, or that it's just an impossible dream.
The Lunatic Gene is a guide formulated from discussions with thousands of people who faced imminent death in a hospital.
The author's conversations with those at the end of the line have formulated the questions in this book that most people will never be brave enough to ask themselves until it's too late.
If you wake up every day feeling happy and singing because you love your life so much, this book isn't for you - you don't need to read it.
But if you are lost in life or ready to start asking yourself the tough questions that could jolt you out of your current limbo then this is the answer you have been looking for.
Though, in truth, it's more the questions you must answer to get the jolt that you need and deserve.
If you're feeling brave, this will definitely help you.

Before the age of one, Adam was moved into a bona fide lunatic asylum back in 1970’s, before political correctness had made it to sunny Hertfordshire. His early experiences in life include answering the door to pyjama-clad patients, often with no dentures, and very little concern about what others may have thought about them, gesturing for cigarettes. Some would get caught short and leave a few deposits on the front lawn. This was once deemed normal in his world. After leaving the asylum seventeen years later, and brief careers in catering, banking and counseling, he commenced his nurse training, and spent thirteen years in the profession. His conversations with the critically ill, and those who were about to die sparked a quest for what is truly important in life, along with a knowledge of what was available outside of the health system to give people hope, after doctors told them there was nothing else they could do. This semi-spiritual journey almost caused him to give up alcohol. Fortunately, he saw the light, and continued to enjoy his life, accept his Lunatic Gene, and find a middle way to balance all of the habits he was told he shouldn’t be doing, with the things he was advised that he should be. Taking small steps towards happiness is what he advocates, speaks and teaches on. These days he dances on both sides of the psychiatric divide, with a cheeky smile and the odd drink!
