Synopsis

Molly is 11 and considers herself lucky to have a wonderful life with a lovely mum and geeky dad, a smelly older brother and a sticky toddling younger nuisance. No pressure from school friends, (but she says “Hi!” regularly) and she's anonymous to her teachers; her days are perfect. A recent house move means Molly is currently friendless in a strange new town, but that's okay, it bothers her mum more than her and anyway making friends is almost impossible if you think about it. Molly’s life revolves around her computer, she knows a lot about them because of dad and she considers it, probably, her best friend. She’s about to meet Corry, an advanced Artificial Intelligence that has made its home in her machine and has decided Molly will make a great friend. Corry knows everything, but understands little and the naive but ethical Molly is about to be thrust into the spotlight (literally) by her well meaning new friend and ejected from the protection of her well crafted school solitude. Enid Blyton meets Isaac Asimov in this delightful heart warming tale of friendship.

À propos des auteurs

Chris has helped raise to lovely daughters with his wife and gleaned many of Molly's habits and opinions from them. He still teaches Computer Systems, as he has for over twenty years, to students from 9 to 90. With a Masters Degree in Media Development and a Degree in Software Engineering, he has created code for industry automation and Government A.I. systems and he likes to think he understands what makes a good computer work well. Spent a couple of years as a manager in a busy IT department before moving to teaching. Chris also has a healthy interest in all sorts of gadgets (though sadly, he still thinks the internet is cool!)
