Links and suggestions are available on the website (www.parallellives.org.uk).The ‘Real Lives Fact Files’ are intended for independent research, using the websites of the relevant museums.The workbook is also an invaluable tool providing a variety of ways in which to introduce, practise and consolidate the relevant grammatical structures: from simple gap-fills, to games and cartoons.Cognate work is present throughout, as is translation from English into Latin. The latter is presented in a palatable way, not only as direct translation modelled on examples, but also through ‘hidden’ translation focused on functions (such as designing gift-tags and dedications).The illustrations, as in the textbook, have been done professionally to support and encourage discovery, creativity and discussion.
