Raising up, and resourcing, the next generation of leaders is a responsibility that Julian Clark takes very seriously. His heart is to see these new leaders grow with integrity, vision and wisdom, and to stay the course through every trial, frustration, challenge, success and temptation that comes their way. He shares from over twenty-five years experience in various leadership roles, writing passionately, candidly and with great insight into the inner workings and thoughts of a young leader, freshly released upon an unsuspecting church or group.

Julian was given his first leadership opportunity when he was nineteen years old, at the youth group at Totley Rise Methodist Church in Sheffield, the church he attended while at University. Now, more than twenty-five years later, he lives in the North East of England, and is married to Kerina, who he met when the youth group he led came to visit her church in Newton Aycliffe. Together they have served in a variety of leadership roles during the past twenty-four years at Xcel Church, where Julian is currently the Executive Pastor. Julian has a heart to raise up future leaders. He has a wealth of experience in leadership development from twenty-plus years of involvement in designing leadership development programmes, regularly teaching teams, mentoring and coaching leaders in church as well as through time spent as a Learning Mentor working in local schools, colleges and universities, and being a qualified Life Coach. Julian loves local church. He is passionate about walking with God and becoming all that God desires for him. Now, through his current role, he is in the privileged position of being able to help others discover their potential too. Julian and Kerina live in Newton Aycliffe and have three beautiful daughters, Lucy, Maisie and Grace.
