Synopsis

Where does he fit? The thought wouldn't quit!

Mikey the microphone feels like he doesn’t fit in, but when he meets a guitar on his journey to find himself, his fortunes change for the better. How does Mikey find his place in the band? Join Mikey on a musical journey for acceptance and a sense of belonging.

Through fun rhyming verses and vivid illustrations, music educator Steve Giddings tells a story of belonging, acceptance, music, and friendship perfect for readers (and musicians) young and old. Everyone is good at something, but nobody is good at everything, we all just need to find our place.

Mikey's Place is also available in French as La place de Miko.
