These books are both encyclopedic and illustrative with a lot of intimate family images that will give the child a sense that others, lead a similar but different life to theirs. Each page has one line of text and within that line, there is one word highlighted in yellow! The highlighted word helps you focus on starting to build your child’s reading skills by having them read and remember it! As you progress you can slowly have them read more from visual memory and learning word repetition that the reading creates. Then we have the second line, which is a counting or observational question! This line helps drive and hold the child’s repeated attention with the challenge.
