Synopsis

Upon the death of her mother, Zoe Edevane takes time away from Oxford to fulfill her mum’s dying wish. This peculiar wish requires Zoe to obtain a specific grave rubbing under the next full moon. Beneath the full moon, as charcoal clings to her fingers and guilt grips her heart, she longs to end the madness and return to Oxford. Yet she cannot ignore a gnawing compulsion to fulfill her mum's dying wish.

With parchment in her hand the grave marker begins to glow. This ordeal sparks a change in everything Zoe believes about her life-and life itself-when she meets the unearthly owner of the grave and his mysterious descendant. They convince her that she belongs to an ancient and covert society of archivists who interview the dead and record their histories. When these Host Writers begin to mysteriously disappear, it propels Zoe into a quest filled with secrets and murder as she flees from those intent on abusing the extraordinary powers of the Host Writers.

À propos de l'auteur

W. F. KUEHN is a world traveler who loves history and looks for the story in everything she experiences. She is a lifelong student of literature, studying not only the words of great authors, but visiting the places that inspired their creativity. Her greatest achievement is raising a family to have a deep love and appreciation of the arts, both visual and written. Her hobbies include music, with piano being her favorite, but she has attempted to play the guitar and organ; riding her beach cruiser with her Yorkie in a basket; and family history, which is another great reason to travel. Host Writer is her first published novel with more to come, including the continuation of the Host Writer series.
