Synopsis
I'm what some would call a “Special.” But you and I share many similarities-genetically that is. However, there is one significant difference between us. My DNA has mutated for unknown reasons. Even better, I’m not the only one like this among you. We were all born with the power to do things most people have only dreamed of. When I was just a small girl a murder occurred in my house and I ran away. Shortly after, I was captured and confined to a place called The Lab. The mission of the scientist there was to figure out why some of us were born with powers and the rest of mankind remained unchanged. During my capture, I met several other Specials. Eventually, we all decided on one thing. We wanted out of The Lab. My name is Elizabeth and this is just the beginning of my journey to freedom. Inside these pages is much more than an adventure; it’s survival. ______________________________________________________ Hidden Minds, was written by author Gabrielle Cavett, a fifteen year old teen prodigy designated to delivering amazing works of literature for all ages. As a newborn, Gabrielle’s parents were delivered a prognosis stating that Gabrielle had a ten percent chance of survival. Not only was Gabrielle able to defy medical odds, she’s also thrusting through the adult dominated literary world. Her purpose is clear. Inspire other young writers to share their stories. You have now been granted permission to get on board.
