Synopsis

100 devotional columns that were printed in a local Texas newspaper and targeted at Christian men. The author has struggled with many of the same spiritual questions as the average Christian. His comments and ideas are sometimes a little controversial and may go 'against the grain' of the main-stream Christian churches. He does not assign any specific scripture to each thought; he provides a space for the reader to insert his own.

À propos de l'auteur

Willie Holt was the Number Two child in a farming family consisting of his Mother and Father and ten kids. He spent most of his young years as a farmer before entering a two year career in the Air Force as a secret code specialist in the Airways and Air Communications Service, headquartered in Alaska. Following military service Willie spent time working in the Texas oil fields before starting a carpentry building business. For the last half of his working career he was an aircraft inspector at LTV Aircraft Corporation in Arlington Texas, working on many major government projects. Willie lost his first wife, Bobbie, to illness in the year he retired. A year later he married Mary. Willie and Mary have traveled to Israel, taken seven cruises to much of the world, and settled in Forney Texas where he writes a Weekly Column for the local newspaper. He is also active in the First Baptist Church of Forney. Willie's interests now are playing golf, playing gospel music, playing dominos, and of course, writing.
