Synopsis

I Am Called follows the journey of a young girl, Petee Pioneer, who while being teased at school one day lost her confidence. Recalling a conversation with her Pop, Petee begins to remember who she is called and to whom she is called. Rhyming words are used to engage young readers in this journey with Petee on who they are in Christ and what they are called toward. At the conclusion of the text, an example faith confession that can be spoken aloud daily to reinforce the message and the child’s confidence in Christ is shared with the goal that parents will work with their children to write their daily faith confessions. We believe that, in whatever occasion a child finds herself, she will know what to say and how to respond as a result of her faith. Building the next generation, on purpose, with purpose!

Sydni Jackson is a six-year old who currently resides in Arkansas with her beautiful family, and enjoys reading, writing, gymnastics, being outdoors and laughing. Born into kingdom expression, Sydni is learning to listen to Holy Spirit who resides on the inside of her. She sits with her family and talks about the good or bad choices she made throughout each day. She is described by her teachers and friends as a compassionate, kind, smart, beautiful and verbose little girl who will one day lead in whatever she is doing. Sydni is drawn to opportunities to express herself through various creative outlets. Her favorite part of service is worship, where she may be found drawing, writing in her notebook, dancing with friends or singing. Sydni, alongside her mom, invites readers to gain confidence in who they are in Christ as a result of right heart position that allows manifestation of kingdom expression in their daily life adventure. LaTonya Jackson resides in Arkansas with her family and enjoys writing, singing, dancing and laughing. Having struggled most of her life with clarity on who she is and her purpose in the earth, LaTonya sought the Heavenly Father, Yahweh, diligently until she came into her own revelation of who He is in her life. When given the gift of a child, she continued her quest for self-efficacy on her job and within her family. Surrounded by a company of Holy Spirit filled individuals with great faith, and a very patient spouse, LaTonya began to emerge from behind the limited, veiled expressions of who she thought she was and together with her family's support embarked on this journey to fulfill her purpose as a modern day scribe and psalmist in the earth. Led by Holy Spirit into this written expression, LaTonya, alongside her daughter, invites parents to teach their children how to be confident in whom they are as early in their life as possible so that they can avoid the pitfalls that come with a lack of clarity or purpose.
