The second work is a series of articles on the central Reformation doctrine of justification by grace alone, through faith alone.David Henkel (1795-1831) was a pastor, church planter, and theologian who served in various positions in the southern United States. Along with his brother, Philip, he helped to bring Confessional Lutheran thought into America, including providing an English translation of the Book of Concord.
