Synopsis

The heart response many have toward worship is characterized more by yawning than yearning. Perhaps this is true because they’ve never experienced the worship described in the Bible. They have found themselves instead stranded in the outer court, stuck with protocols having more form than force. They may want God to make them into a fervent worshiper, but nothing in their past experience, or on the present horizon, gives them any hope at all this is going to happen. For them, worship is dull. Those who have a more casual approach to worship have no idea how awesome worship really is. Lucifer, who knew it best and could do it best, lost heaven and earth over this issue. While Satan and the Savior don’t agree on much, both the son of the morning and the son of God do agree on the supremacy of worship! Formats for worship vary greatly: from a congregation of studious note takers, to a congregation genuflecting during rituals, to a congregation dancing with exuberant glee. So, does it really matter which type of worship is used? Actually, it does. Therefore, we will examine each component of worship with the goal of transitioning you from being a spectator to becoming a practitioner of true worship.
