Dr. Phebe Simmons is a life-long resident of Bryan/College Station, Texas, and an A&M Consolidated High School alumna. She earned her B.A. in English from Texas A&M University; M.Ed. in Reading from Prairie View A&M; and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from University of Phoenix. She is an energetic, highly-motivated, organized, emotionally intelligent and dedicated professional. Dr. Phebe is compassionate and has a heart for serving families, couples, and individuals who seek peace, harmony and purpose in their lives. Dr. Phebe has taught in public and private schools, higher education as well as in prison educational environments. Her love for teaching has allowed her to travel and share her knowledge, skills, and expertise with a variety of audiences. Dr. Phebe serves as Director for Family Promise of Bryan-College Station, a program for children and their families who are experiencing homelessness. In her spare time, Dr. Phebe enjoys playing the piano/organ, reading, writing poetry/short stories and road trips with her husband. She is a Minister of Music and has served as Music Director at the Federal Women’s Prison in Bryan, Texas, since 1999. Married to Curtis Simmons, Jr., the couple has five adult children and three grandsons. Dr. Phebe and her husband reside in Bryan, Texas.
