Carrie Foshee writes to help children discover the joy of travel and adventure. She was raised primarily in the Pacific Northwest of the United States with detours in Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Spain. She has an undergraduate degree from Willamette University in Spanish literature, a master's degree in teaching from Washington State University, and is a National Board Certified teacher. She taught in public schools for 17 years before becoming an author and educational consultant. Her series Kringle Cat Gets Lost is bilingual in Spanish and English. The Kringle books introduce children to the joy of exploring new places and making new friends all through the eyes of a curious cat. Carrie is also the education director of Kids at the Crossroads Peru as well as a frequent member of International Eye Institute medical mission teams to Central and South America. When not checking out new places for Kringle to visit, Carrie likes to spend time with her family, read, scuba dive, and cook.
