Jon grew up in Colorado. And while he loves living in Utah, he still thinks Colorado is the best state! He met his wife in 2007 while Jon was stationed in Hawaii with the Marines. About a year after getting out the Marines, Jon realized that his deployments to Iraq had significantly changed his life priorities, and it became clear that God was calling him. In 2013 Jon graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia with a Masters of Divinity. Jon tries his best to keep up with his three energetic and creative daughters. Jon loves any new adventure and enjoys skiing, backpacking, cycling, and hiking. In 2004, he backpacked the Colorado Trail, which runs 467 miles through Colorado. In 2010, he rode his bike across the United States with a good friend from the Marines. Jon cannot imagine doing anything besides being a pastor. He's passionate about connecting the beauty of God as revealed in Scripture to peoples lives, so they would live with an even greater love of their creator.
