Synopsis

Read about things my patients told and taught me during a 35 year rheumatology practice. The Lynchburg Rheumatology Clinic followed many patients for more than 30 years with the same staff working as an extended family most of that time. The vignettes present an overview of the varied practice experience. Many stories are funny while others are humbling or sad. The reader is introduced to memorable patients and the remarkable staff of the Lynchburg Rheumatology Clinic. This book will be informative and of interest to rheumatology patients, medical students, rheumatologists in practice or in fellowship training, and anyone concerned with changes in medicine such as electronic medical records (EMR), regulation effects, and the opioid crisis.
