Carmen Hendrix was born in Jackson, Mississippi. She moved to Miami, Florida to attend the University of Miami to study Creative Writing and Journalism. Carmen later moved to Houston, Texas, where she now resides. "When Honeysuckles Falls" is her first book, and introduces characters on their quest to find themselves by exploring real issues and relationships. Carmen is an active volunteer in her local community, and serves as a mentor to young adults.
