Synopsis

This book, although mostly fiction, does try to bring out some of the problems brought about when the economy dictates that jobs are curtailed, or eliminated, in the workforce. Often, husbands are required to take up the slack on the home front as wives enter or re-enter the job market in place of their husbands. Only some of the episodes are true, but all of them have occurred or have the potential to occur. It is an impossible task to replace a woman in her own home, but some husbands have tried, unsuccessfully, over the years in their endeavor to take over those impossible duties. The chapters in this book attempt to bring some humor and levity to the real and imagined problems facing husbands who find themselves taking over household duties previously performed by their wives.

The author presently resides in Lafayette, Louisiana with his wife, and several of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren live nearby. His time is spent writing about his family history, life experiences, the grandchildren and other favorite subjects. He also enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, traveling, playing bridge and frequent visits to his camp on the Atchafalaya River in the company of his wife, Frances, and their canine companion, Patches.
