Synopsis

“What Happened to Candi?” is a compelling story of a little girl named Candi, who is dealing with a big secret. Candi the elephant has experienced something no child should ever have to experience, but unfortunately it happens. Studies by the Director of the “Crimes Against Children Research Center” shows that “1 in 5 girls and 1 in 20 boys are a victim of child sexual abuse/assault.” This book is a very important book to share with children. We encourage Parents and Teachers to ask questions as they read, like “What do you think she should do?” or make encouraging statement like “That was a great choice she made,” etc. This form of interactive learning can help develop a child’s thought process and can very well save your child or someone else’s child, as you share Candi’s story with them. Be sure to buy the whole set of all seven books that are available in the Helpville Learner Series I! Each book covers different subjects, that are designed to help children tackle tough issues, in a kid friendly manner.
