In Extremis - the point of death, where peril shatters rules, values, and ethics. In the face of imminent catastrophe, moral reasoning collapses, human limits are exposed, and survival becomes the only imperative. The third novel in the gripping series by Jere G. Michelson, author of Deadly Account and The Dispensary. IN EXTREMIS Tragedy strikes on a warm September afternoon as Jon and Alison exchange vows, sending their wedding guests into a frantic flight for safety. As the newlyweds fight to escape a hidden assassin, they must also evade the persistent scrutiny of law enforcement - while Enzo Garibaldi vanishes from the ceremony, driven to confront the source of danger and the truth behind it. Jon and Alison soon discover that old threats don't remain buried and new ones emerge, trapping them in a seemingly endless cycle of chaos and uncertainty. Yet beneath the turmoil, nothing is quite what it appears. Trust is a fragile currency as alliances form and fracture while friends and foes alike maneuver for power and leverage. Can Jon draw on everything Enzo has taught him to make one final stand and keep those he loves safe? Or will the dark cloud hanging over Enzo doom the newlyweds as they fight for a future?
