Zlaikha Y. Samad (Zlaikha Samad Sadozai) Over the years, I was encouraged to write a book. I attempted countless times, but to no avail. The day I met my friend, I sensed an internal shift within me. A certain awareness or intuition, if you will, gave rise to specific scenes, ideas, and words. Soon after my unexpected connection with L'mere, he posed a question to me: "Have you ever seen a fig tree bloom?" He proceeded to tell me about the idea of the blossomless fig tree and his wish to write a book surrounding it. Intuitively, I knew that I was meant to co-write this book with him, but it seemed impossible because I was not an author. Unbeknownst to me, there was a novel waiting to be poured out of me onto blank pages. Hence, The Unseen Blossom was born between us. I am an Afghan-American born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and I came to the USA as a political refugee in 1981. I am lucky to be from an intellectual family of diplomats, writers, professors, physicians, travel enthusiasts, and peacemakers. I am a new author. Before this, I had only ever written freeform poems. It is somewhat difficult to explain, but the soul connection between us is the driving force behind the creation of our book. Our story can be passed down to awaken and strengthen one's sense of humanity. This fairytale novel illustrates our world's magnificence weaved within a love story of two young souls. Throughout this experience, I am most proud to be the mother of my wonderful daughter and brilliant junior editor, Madee. She is my heart. Last but not least, I wholeheartedly thank my husband, Wais, for his support. I remain grateful.

L'mere Younossi I am an Afghan-American who came to the USA in 1965 and, to my chagrin, never again returned to the motherland. I earned my master's degree in international business from Pace University, located in New York City. I am also a self-taught man with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Foremost, I am a fervent student with a blazing flame of desire for uncovering life, music, art, literature, philosophy, and the humanities. I have dedicated ample time to reading and writing poems in different languages, which I then post on Facebook for the pure enjoyment of my family and friends. I am elated to tell you about a dream I once had; I was in the midst of a rainstorm. Complete darkness enveloped me within an uproarious downpour. Unexpectedly, I looked up to see an onrushing object approaching at an alarming speed. I knew that I was supposed to catch it, so I did just that. As soon as I caught the unknown object, I awoke, sitting upright with my hands in the air. Believe me: it was a book that fell from the stormy skies. The seed of this book was instilled within me at a young age. I was bewildered by the reality of a tree that had no blossom yet still produced fruit, and it was here that this phenomenon took root within my mind. However, this book was born when, once again, in another dream, I saw myself sharing the story of the blossomless fig tree with Zlaikha, the one with whom it was meant to be written.
