À propos de l?auteur

Amy E. Sturkey, PT met an adorable boy with cerebral palsy and his family on a safari in Kenya.  As she tried to help them, she realized that little information was available to help train pediatric therapists and to educate children and families about common childhood conditions and treatment options.  Capitalizing on her 25+ years of experience as a pediatric physical therapist, Amy co-founded Gotcha Apps to produce educational mobile applications for pediatric therapists and their clients.  She created an instructional Facebook page, a website, and a YouTube channel.  On these platforms, she releases weekly email newsletters/blogs and videos to instruct therapists and families of children with developmental challenges.  Amy won Outstanding Physical Therapist for North Carolina for 2016. Amy’s newest adventure is creating picture books for children providing simple and entertaining information about common childhood disabilities.  "A is for Autism" was the first book in that series. "D is for Down Syndrome" is the second.
