This book is INCREDIBLE and worked absolutely perfectly for my 3 and 5 year olds. A lot of books show a kid giving excuses for why they don't want to eat their veggies, which a child can just copy (and most likely will!) In this book, the sweet elephant shows the reader all the amazing things veggies do for your body. My kids are honestly trying new veggies because of this book. My son is inhaling broccoli because it "..keeps his heart and muscles strong" just like Louie. I can't wait to buy her new book on potty training. Silly Louie (as we lovingly call him) is a favorite in our house that they want to read daily.

This book rules. My 5 and 7-year-old love it. I Can't Eat This Stuff teaches the importance of courage and trying something new through the adventures of Louie, the most adorable elephant. Louie has worked wonders for my kids as they are asking to try new veggies (and other healthy foods) because "its superhero fuel." I highly, HIGHLY recommend this book and any others by this author. Encouraging, exciting, empowering for kids and adults as well! The illustrations are so sweet and I love that the book rhymes (my kids now can recite it by heart). The illustrator must have been a zookeeper or veterinarian or something, and the author must be an outstanding mother. Liz has had a passion for art, creativity, and reading since she was a little girl. After graduating with a BA in Graphic Design and Fine Arts from The University of San Francisco, Liz decided she didn't want to work the typical 9-5 pm job. After many business ideas, tears, late nights and too much coffee - she started Louie's Little Lessons Publishing featuring a brave little elephant named Louie. The series was inspired after having her first child (1 of 3) as she found it difficult to find books that promoted courage while transitioning through tough childhood milestones (potty training, eating well, getting a new sibling, etc). She wanted her children to find their inner courage to embrace change because it was fun, not because they were being told it was something they had to do. Liz's book series has helped thousands of children across the globe and she hopes that it continues to inspire for a lifetime. Through our adorable, rhythmic book series, your child will learn: The importance of trying something new. That our courage lies within ourselves and we can access it at any time. Greg has had a passion for animals his entire life. He was obsessed with dinosaurs as a child and that obsession branched into learning and drawing all animals, extinct or not. Naturally, he became and veterinarian in his adult life but still pursues his drawing talents whenever he has the time. He was a perfect fit for illustrating Louie the elephant as he's worked solely with elephants at the San Diego Zoo and said it was life-changing.
